Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a collection of boutique properties around the world. They have been around for a while, however just recently because transfer partners of Capital One and Citi!
With allll the changes (for the negative) with Chase and it being harder to earn Hyatt points as of late, I have to tell you, I am SO excited about starting to diversify our cheap hotel stays with some of these properties!
…and with the RIGHT credit card the value you can get on points is WILD!
How does Preferred Price their properties?
There are about 650 hotels/residences worldwide, and just under 250 of them are currently bookable with points (iPrefer Rewards)!
What I really LOVE about this collection is they are boutique properties (my favoriteeee kind of stay)…and many times in more unique, traditionally harder to book with points, locations!
These properties are priced with an award chart (we LIKE this!) – point rates are “capped” despite say cash rates being really inflated during peak seasons. And although their rates are higher than say the numbers we are used to with Hyatt, with the RIGHT credit card, there is some real value to be had!
Rates start just 15,000 points/night and go up from there!
➡️ 15k, 30k, 50k, 75k, 100k, 150k
iPrefer Hotel Rewards Bookings
Other perks! They website is easy to navigate and availability seems pretty solid, even in peak travel times! (This is an example in Ireland during summer travel months!)
They really have SO many unique properties, I personally am really excited about because of the type of property and locations our family really enjoys most!
➡️ Unfortunately, resort fees are NOT included in your point stay. However, from what I can tell they are pretty reasonable, and actually every property doesn’t even charge them!
So how do I earn iPrefer points?
With Preferred Hotels now being a transfer parter of both Capital One and Citi – there is HUGE potential for savings here!
🚨🚨 Whats even better?! There are some KILLER limited time elevated offers right now on some of my top card picks that would transfer to iPrefer!!
➡️ Capital One miles transfer instantly at a 1:2 ratio. So a 100,000 point property could be bookable for 50,000 points/night!
➡️ Citi points transfer instantly at a 1:4 ratio (YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT). So a 100,000 point property could be bookable for 25,000 points/night.
*You can also use your Citi points to transfer to Choice Privileges at a 1:2 ratio. Some of the iPrefer hotels collection is also available to book via Choice!
For families that may need to book 2 rooms, I think the value potential here is HUGE!! Especially if you are traveling in peak times, which most of us with kids are 🙂
What about some vacation inspiration?!
Take some time to browse their rewards section of their site to get some inspiration, but WOW so many amazing unique properties! (and nowww with insane value potential with the right card- BELOW!!)
Lots of higher end unique finds within the US…in highly sought after, but traditionally harder to book on points locations (Cape Cod and Jackson Hole here!!)
So many DREAMY options in Europe!! If you have a Citi card, that Croatian hotel on the coast would only cost you only 12,500 points a night!
I have had this family-friendly luxury resort in Nicaragua on my bucket list for years…and had kinda written it off…well because I just don’t pay for vacations in cash anymore lol.
But NOW I can book Rancho Santana on points for a FANTASTIC value!! As little as ~18k points/night!(don’t worry already scheming for Easter Break)
I would have LOVED to have a property option bookable on points when we stayed in the famous Grindelwald a few years ago!
…also an 5 star luxury lodge safari property bookable for as low as 37,500 points/night?!?? YES PLEASE!!
This is a new opportunity to get my family dreamy, bucket list vacations…for a fraction of the cost…that just makes me GIDDY.
Don’t miss some of these limited time elevated offers to start to take advantage of the iPrefer Collection!!
Thank you SO much for going out of your way to use my links when you apply for a new card- it really does keep all the free content and personalized support going!!
